Wow.
Does this mean you're actually gonna watch?

But back to the cool stuff;
I was watching 'Rising' the other day with the commentary, and something that Martin Wood said struck me. He said that SGA/SG-1 was an action/adventure show. And it is. And I think that's what SGU's been missing for the first 10 eps. No space battles, no cool aliens to fight, no adventure really.
I think maybe that's about to change.

As for Rush and Chloe, I think it actually might be Camille (given the hype that's come around from
that episode).
Yeah, to quote Jen, 'I think they stepped up their game'
I nether sad I will not watch it, I am still on the fence. It still a Stargate.
In my opinion the Stargate vers, as most other genre shows today (Caprica, Heroes seson 2 and on, Doll House, Reaper to some extend) , safer from BSGism (I know it is not a word, but if ever Webster will recognize that word I claim the fame of using it first). Moor always was saying that he shoots drama with scifi as a decoration. SGU is an epiphany of this. It worked in the BSG, at list until season 4, but it does not work in SGU. Why? In my opinion because BSG and StarGate franchises always was a good mix of Fantasy and SciFi. SGU is, at list in my opinion, a "hard scifi". And please tell me last time "hard scifi" worked as backdrop to the drama and characters study. I do not remember but one example from the past, the little British show called "Space Cop".
Can the show be fixed? Yes. Make a choice: or it is "hard scifi" and you must dump all the character study over board (Love triangles, Sex scenes, crying over past boyfriend); or it is characters study and then we need to lend on some planet and do "Lost" in space (pan was intendant). If Rob and Co. made a choice to go in first direction I will stay with the show if I do not feel that first several episodes of 2nd season (first season are in the can already so their no changes could be made) going in the new direction I will continue to watch else I will not.
