The SGMT Track Director maintains the utmost responsibility for the oversight of the Stargate Multiverse Track at Dragon*Con. She reports directly to the Director of Fan Track Programming for Dragon*Con, and fields the needs, concerns, questions, and suggestions of all SGMT trackgoers and volunteer staff.
While many of these responsibilities are delegated to a staff of approximately 30-50 volunteers, ultimately, the final credit/blame of the successes/failures of the track operation fall upon the Director. In conjunction with the 2IC and official staff, the CO functions as head controller of the track budget, and oversees an internal audit of all track finances, to be completed by November 15 of each year.
At all times, the Director maintains an open line of communication to the 2IC, his/her official staff, and to as many other volunteers as possible, including: Project Team Coordinators (PTCs), celebrity guests at con, talent agents, and all Dragon*Con staff departments. A CO that fails to meet these responsibilities impairs the reputation of the Stargate Multiverse Track and may be held accountable to the Senior Director of Track Programming for Dragon*Con.
